Hello friend. My name is Jack Chelf. I am the pastor here at First Baptist Church. Thanks for stopping in at our FBC web site. I am glad that you are interested in knowing more about us. I hope you find our website helpful.
My wish for you is that you will experience some especially good blessings from the Lord during 2012.
Did you hear about the little boy who had been hoping all year to get a dog for his birthday? "My mom says I can't have a dog," he said to his friend. His friend replied, "Your using the wrong strategy. Don't ask for a dog. Ask for a baby brother. Then you'll get a dog."
The good news of the gospel is that we don't need a strategy. It is God's good pleasure to give us everything we need for time and eternity. He is simply waiting for us to trust him. I may wish good things for you, but I cannot guarantee to deliver on my wishes. God can deliver. And, he will. He will never disappoint.
Trust him. Give God controll of every area of your life, the good parts and the not so good parts. Then, find a Christ-serving church where you can grow spiritually with other believers. Of course, we would welcome you to our fellowship here at FBC, Rockdale.
